The Dyalog user meeting is only 3 weeks away and plans are now finally coming together. This year is the 50th anniversary of APL and a whole day and a half has been put aside to look forwards, backwards and sideways at all things APL. We hope that the whole event will attract APL programmers from all around the world and we look forward to taking part in what will be a very exciting programme of events.
Optima will be demonstrating Galileo Cosmos; a tool to visualise and explore data, lots of data and make the process fun. We have been working on this project for some time now and interest is growing from a number of different Industries. Initially we were focussed on medical applications but now also legal and aviation industries are taking an interest.
Optima is also proud to be sponsoring the Stormwind 3D simulator developed by Tomas Gustafsson. We have arranged for the simulator from Simotion in Dublin to be brought across to Glasgow and set up to show the software running in all its glory. Attendees of the meeting will be given the chance to have a go and steer a boat, at speed, in inclement weather, through the hazards of the Finnish archipelago.
Optima continues to work very closely with our friends at Dyalog and we very much look forward to Dyalog 16.
