Steve McGuigan
Network EngineerSteve is one of our Network Engineers. He was born and raised in Crawley, West Sussex. After completing his GCSE’s he found a job as a Domestic IT Technician for an independent Computer Repair company in Redhill. This saw him travelling around Surrey and West Sussex repairing people’s PCs, laptops, Macs and even the odd mobile phone.
After 18 months he was looking at progressing into Business IT Support and applied for a Level 3 Apprenticeship at Optima Systems and joined in August 2016. He completed the Apprenticeship in September 2017 to become a fully-fledged Optima Employee.
Currently Steve is responsible for the day to day handling of incoming tickets as part of our Network Support Team. He prides himself in providing exceptional second line support which invloves answering general queries, assisting in projects and providing IT support to both clients and staff. Steve will perform site visits when necessary and enjoys getting to see first hand how our clients companies work so he can improve and personalise their support. .
