Kim KenningtonQuality Assurance Manager
Kim is the Quality Assurance Manager for the software development side of Optima Systems. Her focus is to liaise between our clients and our software developers to ensure that we deliver good quality products, on time and within budget.
Her background is in the Financial Services industry having worked in a High Street Bank for 9 years followed by a leading Life and Pensions company in 1989 when the legislation changed, and Personal Pensions first came to the forefront of the general public.
Starting off in the New Business department and working then in policy maintenance and claims, she gathered a broad knowledge of pension legislation. It was during her time in the pensions department calculating annuities by hand in 2003 that she came to work alongside Optima. Here she started to provide the background required to add in new products to an existing application that would then calculate the annuities and produce the output to send to their clients.
In 2013 Kim joined Optima. As a previous end user of one of Optima’s applications her legislative and product/business knowledge helps her to analyse client requirements and ultimately test the software we produce with a different perspective to the developers.
