Vince Ball

Vince is a 2nd line engineer at Optima Systems. He has grown up and has lived in Crawley all his life. His interest in IT came in at a fairly young age when he repaired his classmates' broken Xbox 360s for a bit of cash as a hobby, which then developed into building gaming computers. Vince has worked in IT since finishing school; he started an IT apprenticeship in 2016 and has since progressed through a number of roles within the IT sector.

The first five years of Vince’s career were spent with a public housing association, where he was part of the IT Helpdesk team supporting the internal staff around the business, across various sites and offices around the South East of England. He then briefly moved on to working on the Microsoft CRM platform but came back to a network support role as this is where his passion lies.

After seven years (and counting!) of working in IT, Vince joined Optima in March 2023 to pursue a new role with new opportunities.

Outside of work, Vince is an avid photographer and car enthusiast. Owning several classic cars and motorcycles, he takes pride in maintaining and repairing his vehicles in his spare time.
